Sefton Children's Fund is part of a
government-funded programme focused on improving opportunities
for children and young people 4-13 years and their families.
The Children's Fund is about:
Providing early support services
where there are signs of difficulty
Promoting the active involvement of
children and families in service planning and delivery
Improving the ways that services work
together locally
Influencing policy in the interests
of children and young people
Finding out more about what works
The Children's Fund has a number of objectives:
Increasing educational attainment and
reducing unauthorised absence from school
Reducing health inequalities
Reducing the no of children aged 8-13
who commit crime and reduce the number of children
who are victims of crime.

Building the strength of families &
communities to continue the work of the programme

The Children's Fund Partnership is committed
to ensuring that children, young people, parents/ carers
and the wider community are fully involved in the effective
development and delivery of the whole programme. Voices
Sefton has been established to ensure that children,
young people and families have a real opportunity to
inform the development and delivery of services and
can get involved with projects at a local level.

Strategic Plan 2005-2008
A strategic plan for 2005-08 has been
produced by the Children's Fund Programme Management
Team, the plan provides an outline of the vision for
Sefton Children's Fund programme.
